General Operative
About the Role:

In this dynamic role, you’ll be a vital part of any construction site, supporting skilled tradespeople and contributing to a variety of tasks from groundwork to finishing touches. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation:
- Assisting with setting up and dismantling site fencing, barriers, and safety signage.
- Clearing and levelling ground, potentially involving topsoil stripping and vegetation removal.
- Helping to excavate trenches for foundations, drainage systems, and other services.
- Manual Labour:
- Mixing and pouring concrete for foundations, slabs, and other structures.
- Moving and unloading building materials, often involving heavy lifting.
- Operating basic construction equipment like drills, pumps, and compressors.
- General Tasks:
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
- Assisting other tradespeople with various tasks as required.
- Following all health and safety regulations on site.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- CSCS card, experience is not a must
- Strong physical fitness and stamina are essential for handling demanding work conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety are vital.
