Our Objectives
In a study conducted between 2018 and 2020 by the CITB and BeOnsite (established by Lendlease), it was found 71% of new people leave construction after 3 months – 50% are dismissed and 21% resign. The causes for dismissal were predominately related to soft skills such as timekeeping, attendance, attitude and lack of performance, whilst reasons people resigned were due to lack of support from the employer and not feeling valued. JobMatcha Academy aspires to provide better support for individuals starting or returning to employment in construction to help increase retention rates and encourage upskilling.
Free Training with The lighthouse club
Through The Lighthouse Charity, you can access many styles of Wellbeing Learning from self paced, e-learning through to online tutor led masterclasses and onsite training. It also offers a variety of courses that support everyone in our industry from soft skills training through to MHFA accredited qualifications. So whether you’re a site operative, project manager or office based professional, there really is something to suit everyone. What’s more, the vast majority of their training is free.
Free Training with The CITB
CITB is the industry training board for the construction sector in England, Scotland, and Wales. It’s their job to help the construction industry attract talent and to support skills development, to build a better Britain.
Their purpose is to support the construction industry to have a skilled, competent and inclusive workforce, now and in the future.
